Our verdict
For most of the businesses we look after, Xero is a sensible default — but the software is only ever half the job. We have rescued plenty of Xero files that looked fine on the surface and were months behind underneath. The value is in how it is set up and who reconciles it, not the logo. If you are on Xero, we will run it properly; if you are choosing, it is a strong starting point for the typical Sydney small business.
